Terms & Conditions
The terms that apply to your use of this website and to the digital products and resources sold through it.
1. About these terms
This website, RuthMartey.com, is operated by Ruth Martey, a workforce retention specialist and consultant based in the United Kingdom. By using this website, or by purchasing a digital product through it, you agree to these terms. If you have any questions before ordering, email info@ruthmartey.com.
2. Use of this website and its content
All content on this website, including text, page designs, toolkits, templates, guides and other downloadable resources, is the copyright of Ruth Martey unless otherwise stated. You are welcome to browse the site, share links to its pages and download the resources offered to you. You may not copy, reproduce or republish the site's content for commercial purposes without written permission.
3. Consulting and workshop fees
All consulting, workshop, speaking and advisory fees shown on this website are indicative. Every engagement is scoped individually, and the final fee is confirmed through a tailored proposal agreed with you before any work begins. Nothing on this website constitutes a binding offer to provide services at a stated price.
4. Digital product licences
Toolkits and other digital products are sold under one of three licence tiers. The licence you purchase determines who may use the files:
- Individual licence: use by one purchaser for their own professional work.
- Team licence: use by a defined internal team or stated number of managers.
- Organisational licence: wider internal use across the purchasing organisation, priced by size and intended usage.
Licences are for internal use within the scope purchased. If you are unsure which licence you need, ask before ordering.
5. Prohibited use
Whatever licence you hold, the following are not permitted:
- Reselling or redistributing the files.
- Uploading files to public websites or shared public repositories.
- Removing Ruth Martey branding or copyright notices.
- Using the files to create competing commercial products.
- Sharing an individual licence across a team or organisation.
6. Digital content and your right to cancel
If you buy a digital product as a consumer, UK consumer law gives you a 14-day cancellation period starting on the day of purchase, during which you may cancel your order and receive a refund.
Because toolkits are digital content, there is an important condition attached to early delivery. The files will only be supplied to you before the end of the 14-day cancellation period if you give your express consent to early delivery and acknowledge that, once the files have been supplied, you lose your right to cancel. This consent is requested when your order is confirmed. If you would rather keep your full cancellation right, you can ask for delivery to be delayed until the 14-day period has ended.
If you buy on behalf of a business, the consumer cancellation right does not apply, but any concerns will still be dealt with fairly; see below.
7. Refunds
Apart from the cancellation right described above, refunds are handled personally. If a product is faulty, not as described, or you have any other concern about your order, contact info@ruthmartey.com and the issue will be resolved with you directly. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
8. Disclaimer
The toolkits, templates and resources sold on this website are practical management resources. They are not legal, HR-compliance or employment-law advice, and they should not be relied on as a substitute for professional advice on any specific situation. If you need advice on employment law or regulatory compliance, take advice from a suitably qualified professional.
Every organisation is different, and outcomes depend on how each organisation applies the materials in its own context. No particular result is guaranteed from the use of any product, service or resource offered on this website.
9. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ruth Martey's liability arising from your use of this website or its digital products is limited. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of England and Wales, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
10. Governing law
These terms, and any dispute arising from them or from your use of this website, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your purchase is the version that applies to your order.
