What personal data is collected

This website only collects the information you choose to provide. Depending on which forms you use, that may include:

• Enquiry form: your name, role, email address, phone number (if you choose to provide it), organisation, the service you are interested in, your preferred date and format, an indicative budget range, how you heard about Ruth, and the content of your message.
• Newsletter sign-up: your first name and email address.
• Free checklist requests: your name and email address, and the resource you have requested.

Only the information the forms ask for is collected. Optional fields are always your choice, and you are never required to provide more than you are comfortable sharing.

How your data is used, and why that is lawful

Your data is used only for the purpose you provided it:

• Responding to enquiries. If you send an enquiry, your details are used to reply, discuss your requirements and, where relevant, prepare a proposal. In legal terms, this is done because it is a necessary step towards a possible contract with you, and because there is a legitimate interest in responding to people who get in touch.
• Delivering requested resources. If you request the free checklist or order a toolkit, your details are used to send you the files you asked for. This is done to fulfil your request.
• Sending the newsletter. If you subscribe, your name and email address are used to send you occasional insights and updates. This is done only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Your personal data is never sold, rented or traded with anyone.

Who else may process your data

Like most small businesses, this website relies on a small number of trusted service providers who may process data on Ruth Martey's behalf: specifically the company that hosts this website and the provider used to send and receive email. These providers act only on instruction and are required to keep your data secure.

Fonts loaded from Google

Pages on this site load their typefaces from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser makes a request to Google's servers to fetch the font files, which means Google receives standard technical information such as your IP address as part of that request. No other data from this site is shared with Google.

Cookies

This website does not set tracking or advertising cookies. Browsing the site does not build a profile of you, and no analytics identifiers are stored on your device.

How long your data is kept

Data is kept only for as long as it is genuinely needed:

• Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as is needed to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows from it, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you get back in touch.
• Newsletter details are kept for as long as you remain subscribed. When you unsubscribe, your details are removed from the mailing list.
• Records connected to a purchase are kept for as long as UK tax and accounting rules require.

Your rights under UK GDPR
