Future-of-Work Workshop

Preparing Your People for the Age of AI

A practical workshop helping leaders and teams understand how AI may change work, skills and employee expectations, and how to prepare people for change without losing trust, confidence or the human capabilities organisations still need.

Indicative fees from £1,250

The problem

AI is changing how tasks are carried out, how roles are shaped and which skills matter, often faster than organisations can explain to their people. When leaders stay silent, or when the conversation remains abstract, employees fill the gap themselves. Uncertainty becomes fear, and fear becomes disengagement and resistance.

Most AI discussion inside organisations is either heavily technical or vaguely inspirational. Neither helps a manager answer the question their team is actually asking: what does this mean for my role, my skills and my future here?

This workshop keeps the focus where it belongs: on people, leadership, work design and skills. It is designed to help leaders and teams replace anxiety with clarity, and vague AI discussion with practical workforce actions, while protecting the trust, confidence and human capabilities your organisation still needs.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a technical AI training session?

No. The workshop focuses clearly on people, leadership, work design and skills; it is not legal, cyber-security or technical implementation advice. Where an organisation needs implementation support outside that scope, Ruth can signpost or partner with a technical AI specialist.

Who should be in the room, and how many people can attend?

That depends on your goal. Leadership teams, HR and organisational development teams, groups of managers and intact teams all work well. Workshops are sized for genuine discussion, while the 90-minute awareness session suits larger audiences and a multi-team programme covers several groups across the organisation. Group size and composition are agreed at the proposal stage.

How is the workshop tailored to our organisation?

Every engagement starts with a discovery call and a pre-workshop readiness questionnaire, so the examples, discussion and role-and-task impact mapping reflect your roles, sector and context. The content is grounded in current evidence and refreshed regularly as tools and expectations evolve.

Can the workshop be delivered online or in person?

Both. Workshops are delivered in person across the UK or virtually, and the format is agreed with you at the proposal stage. Any travel arrangements are confirmed in the tailored proposal.

How far in advance should we book?

Enquire as early as you can, particularly for full-day or multi-team formats. Time is needed before delivery for the discovery call, the readiness questionnaire and tailoring, so the schedule is agreed together at the proposal stage.

What happens after the workshop?

Your team leaves with an action plan and recommended next steps, supported by a follow-up conversation. Some organisations then choose to go deeper, for example through the Retention & Culture Diagnostic or a Retention Strategy Sprint.
