Leadership That Retains Talent
A practical leadership workshop helping managers understand how their everyday behaviour affects employee experience, engagement and retention. Participants learn to recognise early warning signs, hold meaningful conversations, give constructive feedback and create team environments where people can perform and stay.
Indicative fees from £950
Retention is decided in everyday management
Most people do not experience your organisation through its strategy or its values statement. They experience it through their manager: the quality of the conversations they have, the feedback they receive and the way their day-to-day contribution is recognised. When those everyday experiences are inconsistent, engagement quietly erodes long before anyone hands in their notice.
Yet many managers are promoted for technical ability and given little formal development in managing people. They may not recognise the early warning signs of disengagement, may avoid difficult conversations, and may not realise how much influence their own behaviour has on whether people choose to stay.
This workshop is designed to close that gap. It gives managers practical tools, stronger conversations and consistent standards: actions they can control immediately, rather than theory they will never use.

Frequently asked questions
What group size works best?
Group size is agreed during the discovery conversation. Because the workshop is built around practice, live scenarios, conversation rehearsal and group exercises, cohorts are kept small enough for every manager to take part rather than simply listen. If you need to develop a larger management population, the three-part and six-part programmes are designed to reach more managers in structured cohorts.
Is the workshop delivered online or in person?
Both options are available. The 90-minute session is delivered virtually, while half-day and full-day workshops can run in person at your site or online, whichever suits your teams. Format, location and any travel arrangements are confirmed in the tailored proposal.
How is the workshop tailored to our organisation?
Every engagement begins with a pre-session planning call. The facilitator slides, scenarios and conversation templates are then tailored to your context, your sector, your managers' experience levels and the retention challenges you are actually facing, so the session feels relevant rather than generic.
What does the optional 30-day follow-up involve?
Each participant leaves the workshop with an individual 30-day action plan. The optional follow-up session (add £500–£750) reconvenes the group around a month later to review progress against those plans, work through what managers have found difficult in practice and agree next steps. It is designed to help the learning become habit rather than a one-off event.
What materials do participants receive?
Each participant receives a workbook and a set of manager conversation templates they can use with their teams straight away. The session itself is built around practical group exercises and scenarios, and your organisation receives a post-session evaluation summary once the workshop is complete.
